Pavilion & private pool
Amanzoe's stone pavilions and broad hilltop views gave the resort a sense of space that no elaborate lobby could match. I liked having both sun and shade beside the private pool on my terrace, so it was comfortable at more than one time of day. The precise sea view and privacy of a pavilion are worth settling before arrival.
Hilltop & beach
Athens is a substantial drive away, and the beach club is another trip down from the hilltop. Once there, its own pools and restaurant made it worth staying for a whole afternoon rather than taking a quick look and heading back. That separation worked well over several days; for a one-night stop it would feel like wasted travel.
Service & dinner
The quietest service moments were the most persuasive. My room could be refreshed while I was at breakfast, leaving the terrace ready on my return. Dinner needed a different pace: starters and mains crowding the table were not an improvement just because the staff moved quickly. Asking for a leisurely meal made the evening fit the setting.
Would I return?
The shaded terrace and those hilltop views are worth a return, especially with time for both the pavilion and beach club. With enough time for both hill and beach, the distance from ordinary travel routines felt like the reason to come.
