Views high above the city
For me, the point of a Four Seasons Embarcadero room was being high above the city. I liked looking out from the bedroom, then taking a drink onto the raised deck where heated seats made it comfortable to stay as the air cooled. A bridge-facing window and an ordinary city outlook are worth distinguishing before paying for a view.
Quiet room & service
My upper-floor bedroom was quiet enough to work or simply stay in for an afternoon. Service had an appealing practical side too: the team arranged caviar in the room even though it was not a regular menu item. That felt more useful than a scripted speech about the skyline.
Dining & city plans
I found more dining choice in San Francisco than the hotel's single main restaurant, so I went out for variety. The views were from the room and deck, not a hidden restaurant on the top floor. Lifts mattered more than expected on a high floor; with fewer cars running, even a short return upstairs could take several minutes.
Would I return?
Another stay would begin by choosing the exact high-floor view, then leaving time to enjoy it from the heated deck. The calm room and warm deck made a memorable city base, as long as the journey up to them was not half the evening.
