Beach & gardens
Marbella Club felt lived in rather than assembled recently for a photograph. I could spend a morning by the beach, walk back through the gardens and save padel or golf for another day. The grounds offered enough variety that staying several nights made more sense than a quick stop.
Room & sleep
Room position was not a minor detail. A suite overlooking a bar playing music late into the evening would have traded sleep for a nicer category name. I asked about the actual window and preferred a quieter place to return to after a long beach day.
Breakfast & service
I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast on the terrace until everyone arrived at once and the tables had not been cleared. The staff were warm, but an expensive outdoor table was not automatically ready during the busiest part of service. I mixed easy meals on the grounds with dinners elsewhere rather than expect every restaurant visit to be an occasion.
Would I return?
The beach, garden paths and sport are worth a return, ideally from a quiet bedroom well away from late bar music. Its character was more persuasive than a newer resort's polish. Time to use the estate, not a particular pool photograph, was what made the stay worthwhile.
