The Riviera beaches
One&Only Aesthesis offered a Greek Riviera pause without putting Athens impossibly far away. I moved between the main beach and Manko Beach, then swam in the heated main and spa pools. The newer buildings looked polished, though the view from a particular room mattered more than a wide photograph of the resort.
Bungalow & plunge pool
A bungalow gave more separation, its own plunge pool and an outdoor fireplace that was lovely to look at but unnecessary in summer. A main-building room would keep breakfast and facilities closer. I cared about the actual privacy of the terrace, not just the words "private pool" on the booking.
Dining & concierge
I found both the food and service at Sumosan disappointing, so nearby Ark and Barbarossa were useful alternatives. The concierge could handle taxis and restaurant bookings on WhatsApp for an evening toward Athens or along the coast. A birthday cake and card appearing unexpectedly made the team's more personal side easy to appreciate. That help kept a disappointing on-site meal from dictating the whole trip.
Would I return?
A bungalow near the right beach would make another short Athens Riviera visit worth considering. It is an easy escape from the city, not an isolated island resort, and that distinction suited me.
