Palace-facing balcony
Palace Hotel Tokyo let me enjoy a quiet side of the city without feeling far from it. A balcony toward the Imperial Palace gardens made a real difference in autumn; at night, the right-facing room also picked up Tokyo Tower. That view was worth confirming rather than assuming every balcony faced the moat.
Room & neighborhood
The room had space to unpack and a comfortable bed, somewhere I looked forward to returning after long days out. Marunouchi grew calm later in the evening. For a lively street of late-night restaurants, the train was an easier answer than waiting for the neighborhood to become one.
Trains & dining
The underground connection to Otemachi station made that simple even in the rain, with no need to search for a street entrance. One dinner was sushi carefully prepared and explained at the counter; another could be spent at the hotel's French restaurant. I checked whether breakfast was included rather than treat it as automatic with the room.
Would I return?
The balcony over palace greenery and quick access to trains are the combination that would bring me back. The best version of this hotel was not the grandest label on a booking page but a room with a window I wanted to sit beside.
