Thames-facing suite
Park Hyatt London River Thames worked for me once I stopped pretending it was in Mayfair. A suite with a separate living room, real storage and a bathroom with tub and shower helped make up for the distance. The placement of the mirror and hairdryer sockets was worth checking too; a big bathroom still needs to be convenient.
Getting into town
When traffic slowed, the nearby Uber Boat pier offered a much more pleasant route into central London than another long car ride. The river view was lovely, but it could not put a wide restaurant neighborhood immediately outside the door. I planned each trip with that trade in mind.
Breakfast & pool
I lingered over breakfast, and the pool made a good pause after a day in town. In the evening, someone checked whether the room needed more water or towels, a small but useful touch. An unexpected room charge required more than one message to fix, which felt out of step with the otherwise attentive service.
Would I return?
A Thames-facing suite and time for a swim would justify the extra travel from central London on another visit. Being farther from familiar London hotel streets felt like a choice rather than a drawback once the room was right.
