Bayfront bungalow
The boat from Tortola brought me to Little Dix Bay's sheltered water and a beach worth staying for more than one afternoon. From a bungalow near the sand, I could swim, use the outdoor shower and come back for breakfast still looking over the bay. Snorkeling brought fish, rays and turtles close enough to make the water its own activity without another excursion.
Room choices
A treehouse suite would offer another kind of space, but an offered upgrade has added $300 per night before tax and moved the room farther from the sand. I wanted the full price and floor plan clear before trading away direct beach access simply for a larger category.
Breakfast & seaside dining
Breakfast in the pavilion became a routine, and lobster there on another day was worth remembering. Mexican food and a margarita beside the beach suited a less formal lunch. I left time for the spa above the water and let a butler settle a boat outing rather than organize every piece of the day myself.
Would I return?
Several nights beside the sheltered bay would beat another rushed stop between Virgin Gorda ferries. Getting the bungalow and boat details right first let the bay, food and people carry the rest of the stay.
