The harbor room
A room facing Victoria Harbour made Four Seasons Hong Kong more than a convenient base above transport and shops. I kept coming back to the window as the water changed through the day, then went down to the pools at its edge. A city-facing room might be perfectly comfortable, but it would be a different stay.
Service & pool
I found the service charmingly personal. For a birthday, cake in the lobby and photographs taken by the team were more memorable than a note left upstairs. Club access made sense only if there was time to enjoy it; adding that, a better room and a harbor view without using them would quickly turn a good stay into a very expensive one.
Cocktails & coffee
ARGO's changing cocktails made one evening, while a quieter drink at the Caprice Bar suited another. In the morning I could grab coffee and croissants downstairs, then return later for the spa's steam room, sauna and a swim. Popular dinner tables still needed reserving rather than counting on a room key to open every door.
Would I return?
The hotel works beautifully when there is time for a slow drink and a full afternoon by the water. If every day were spent elsewhere, the harbor room would be harder to justify. Given room to enjoy it, that outlook was the part I would happily pay for again.
