MY STAY
The room
At The Upper House, the room felt like the main event. I had space unusual for Hong Kong, a good bath and a window worth sitting beside. A harbor-facing room brought calm after a busy city day; not every generous floor plan has that same view. The discreet public spaces did not compete with the room or turn each return into a walk through a crowded lobby.

Attentive housekeeping
Housekeeping paid attention without moving my things out of reach. Bottles and charging cables were tidied, as were clothes and a yoga mat left in the room. After both curtain layers had been drawn against the morning light, eye masks appeared beside the bed. Late-night room service made the room easy to live in when the city kept moving outside.

Dining & transport
Salisterra gave me breakfast and dinner upstairs, while Pacific Place put shops and transport within easy reach below. There was no resort pool to fill the afternoon. I preferred a long bath beside the harbor-facing window to an impressive list of facilities I would not have used on a short visit.

Would I return?
The generous room and quiet care behind it made a stronger case for returning than any grand lobby could. Hong Kong stayed exciting outside; walking back into that calm space was the balance I wanted.
