The sea-view room
Il San Pietro di Positano gave me a good reason to stop chasing every Amalfi Coast sight. The rooms step down toward the sea, and my terrace made returning from the water feel like another part of the day rather than the end of it. Room position mattered because the view was something I actually sat with.
Beach club & lunch
The private beach club could fill an afternoon. I went down for a swim, stopped at Carlino for lunch and still had time to sit on the terrace afterward. Tennis provided a change of pace, while the shuttle into Positano meant a town visit did not have to swallow the whole day.
Breakfast & dining
At breakfast the team remembered my coffee order without another explanation. Lunch at Carlino and a booked dinner at Zass gave me two distinct meals at the hotel; the important table was worth arranging ahead, especially after spending an afternoon by the beach. That quiet familiarity from the staff kept a dramatic cliffside setting comfortable to live in.
Would I return?
Several days of room, beach and unhurried meals would bring me back to this cliff above Positano. Trying to reach a different Positano restaurant every evening would have missed the pleasure of staying put here. A good terrace and an open day were enough to make the hotel itself part of the holiday.
